If you love the slow rhythm of walking and the freedom of the wind in the sails, this weekend is designed for you.
Three days to discover Elba Island in its most authentic essence: on foot along trails suspended above the sea and by sailing boat, gently carried by coves, colors and the nature of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
Guiding you through these places will be Carlotta, a naturalist and guide of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, who will lead you among the scents of Mediterranean scrub, seaside villages and panoramic viewpoints. Each time you return on board, Mattia will be there to welcome you, ready to make the boat feel like a home in motion.
Our base camp will be Zaurak, a comfortable 15-metre sailing boat with five cabins and private bathrooms: an intimate and welcoming space that follows us from stage to stage, perfect for experiencing a weekend immersed in the island’s slow rhythm.
The proposed routes are suitable for people in good physical condition, with a moderate level of fitness.
Meeting by 5:30 pm in Portoferraio, followed by a private transfer to Marciana Marina. Boarding on Zaurak, group introduction, briefing with the skipper and guide, cabin accommodation and dinner.
After a hearty breakfast, we set sail towards Procchio. Coastal sailing introduces us to the island’s first headlands, then we disembark at the pier and begin the trek. The route winds through spectacular views, the scents of Mediterranean scrub and stretches entirely overlooking the sea. We cross the long beach of Biodola and continue on to Capo Enfola, once home to an ancient tuna fishery and now an operational hub of the National Park. Zaurak will be waiting to take us back to the harbour with a pleasant coastal sail. Hot shower, dinner and overnight stay.
Distance: 10 km — Elevation gain: 250 m — Duration: approx. 4 hours
Breakfast on board and departure towards the west. This trek runs literally along the sea: small villages accessible only on foot, natural terraces, wind-shaped cliffs and a horizon stretching as far as Capraia and Corsica. Arrival in Sant’Andrea is a true gem: a village built on granite, among flowers, vegetable gardens and the famous “cote”, the smooth, polished rocks that line the coast.
After a relaxing break, we board Zaurak once again for an unforgettable sail along the entire Costa del Sole, the island’s brightest and most scenic stretch. Arrival in Marina di Campo, followed by a stroll, an ice cream and dinner.
Distance: 10 km — Elevation gain: 250 m — Duration: approx. 4 hours
Breakfast, luggage packing and departure towards Portoferraio. The morning is dedicated to an urban trek in the historic Medicean Cosmopoli, among fortifications, narrow streets and views over the gulf. Packed lunch and return to the boat for boarding by 3:00 pm.
